I love these types of photos. They make me want to grab a bag, throw some clothes in it and just leave

Finally got my bike a few weeks ago. Been having fun riding the Natchez Trace and a few back roads. Hopefully, my first oil change will go well tomorrow.

THE MIRACLE
To work with an art formdoes not mean toscrew off like a tape-wormwith his belly full, nor does it justify grandeuror greed, nor at all timesseriousness, but I would guessthat it calls upon the best menat their best times, and when they dieand something else does not,we have seen the miracle of immortality:men arrived as men, departed as gods –gods we knew were here, gods that now let us go onwhen all else says stop.

"I saw a lady on T.V. She was born without arms. Literally, she was born with her hands attached to her shoulders… and that was sad, but then they said, “Lola does not know the meaning of the word ‘can’t.’” And that to me was kinda worse… in a way… ya know? Not only does she not have arms, but she doesn’t understand simple contractions. It’s very simple, Lola, you just take two words, you put them together, then you take out the middle letter, you put a comma in there and you raise it up!"

I got a phone call yesterday about this armored vehicle that was used by the Mississippi Highway Patrol during the civil rights movement to fight against the activist that were working in the state. We went by today and checked it out. It struck me how much money that the state of Mississippi spent to “protect” themselves and battle against a group of it’s own citizens that were known for their non-violence and peaceful protest.
